Training
The Children Act 1989 and the Care Council requires all organisations working with children and young people to have an ongoing programme of up to date training reflecting recent policy and legislative changes.
The training courses offered by ISWCA are extensive and therefore cannot all be listed. Training can be tailored made to meet the needs of individuals or organisations. Topics covered include: child protection (CP), child in need (CIN), fostering & looked after children (LAC), domestic abuse, drug misuse, neuro linguistic programming (NLP), positive parenting & report Writing to name but a few.
Training is delivered with a range of learning tools to meet the various learning needs of participants. The participants are able to take advantage of power point, flip charts, case studies, to name but a few of the tools used. Should there be specific learning need please contact ISWCA prior to the training session who will endeavour to meet the particular learning need or difficulty. We are experienced with a variety of learning styles to meet differing needs. The trainers are all qualified to teach within the educational field.
