Welcome to ISWCA

ISWCA is an independent organisation that provides a selection of services. Established by Michelle Mckay, a qualified and experienced social worker whose background lies predominately within Child Protection. The company provides a professional service to local authorities and independent organisations both within the public and private sector.

ISWCA is based within South Wales but also covers the South West area including Somerset and Devon. ISWCA is committed to remaining in these areas to provide expert help, assessments and training. Our rates are competively priced and fair. Rates are negotiable for the voluntary sector organisations. In addition a percentage of profits will be donated to a charity on a yearly basis.

The staff provided by ISWCA have a background within social services, youth offending service (YOS), health and the court arena. This staff pool allows the correct person to be matched to your requirements.

ISWCA is constantly reviewing its personnel, making sure that there is an emphasis on quality rather than quantity. We aim to be accessible and flexible in terms of reviewing the function of our agency, making the necessary changes that your organisation can depend on.

Assessments

A Variety of assessments are undertaken by ISWCA. parenting assessments, core assessments, looked after children, discharge of care orders, fostering assessments, court assessments including Section 7 & Section 37 reports to name but a few. [read more...]

 

Training

The Children Act (1989) and the care council requires all organisations working with children and young people to have an ongoing programme of up to date training reflecting recent policy and legislative changes. Training provided by ISWCA aid towards continual professional development training hours for practitioners. The training courses offered by ISWCA are extensive and therefore cannot all be listed. Training can be tailored made to meet the needs of individuals or organisations from multi disciplinary training to small workshops designed to meet the needs of practitioners. [read more...]

Consultation

Areas of specialism are particularly within the field of Child Protection. A particular interest of ISWCA is the co ordination of the Integrated Children’s System (I.C.S) and how it impacts upon frontline staff. Local government require the collation of performance indicators to demonstrate how effective your organisation is, we can assist you with making this collation smoother and more effective. Within children’s services and education, protocols and procedures require updating on a regular basis, we can assist you with this process ensuring you receive up to date information.
